It's that time of year again... we're going to dive into the best design and illustration tutorials and articles of the past year!
Before we jump into it, let's look at what we've been up to on Envato Tuts+ as a whole:
- On Envato Tuts+, as mentioned in the Envato Year in Review 2018, we have been pushing to have a better gender balance writing the content on the site. At the beginning of 2017, two-thirds of content was written by men. We now have just over 50% written by women. If you're interested in writing for us, please hop on over to Teach at Tuts+.
- Almost 30% of our traffic came from translated content. This is major! We've been increasing our budgets in translating content to make sure our free education is spreading across the world. - We honoured the German Language and culture with German Week, in celebration of Envato Elements launching a German version! Further languages have since been added.
- We've been creating more free video content than ever before—now posting eight design videos (at least) per month. You can discover many regular free courses over on our Envato Tuts+ YouTube channel, including our current favourite: 10 Tips to Master Adobe Photoshop Brushes.
- We've hit over 100k subscribers to our Envato Tuts+ YouTube channel!
