1. Choose a Template & Slide
Choose which template you want to use to add your bouncy ball animation. In this tutorial, we’ll be using the Minimal PowerPoint template from Envato Elements.

After you’ve chosen your presentation template, choose which slide you want to use for your bouncy ball animation. For this tutorial, we’ll be using slide two. Above is what that slide looks like without any edits made.
2. Create Your Ball
To create a bouncing ball animation, you need to have a ball. So first, click on the Insert tab above the toolbar. Next, click on the Shapes button in the toolbar.
When you click on the Shapes button, a menu appears. In the menu, you’ll see a Basic Shapes section. Click on the Circle in that section.
3. Fill Your Ball
First, click on your ball to select it. Next, click on the Shape Format tab above the toolbar. Then in the toolbar, click on the Format Pane button.
In the Format Pane, you’ll see a Fill section. In the Fill section, there's a color field with a Fill Color button. Click on it. A color menu appears. Choose the color that you want.
3. Add Animation of Ball Bouncing
First, click on your ball to select it. Next, click on the Animations tab. In the toolbar, you’ll see Entrance Effects. Scroll until you see the Bounce effect.
If you want your shape to be bouncier, you can click on the Path Animation button in the toolbar. Choose the Bounce option from the menu. You’ll see a path with a box and handles when you click on this. That’s the path your ball will take.
Turn an Image into a Bouncing Ball
If you want a realistic bouncing ball, you can do that too. In this tutorial, I’ll use slide two of the Minimal PowerPoint from Envato Elements. Here’s how to create a realistic bouncing ball animation PowerPoint:
1. Choose Your Bouncing Ball Image
I use the Sports and Games Soft Color Icons from Envato Elements for the bouncing ball image in this tutorial. This icon pack has many different sports balls and sports equipment.
The soft color of the icons pops but doesn't distract the audience from your main point. The Sports and Games Soft Color Icons pack comes with the following file types:

2. Add Your Ball to the Slide
To add an image, click on the Insert tab. Next, click on the Pictures button in the toolbar. A menu appears. Choose the right option depending on where your image file is located.
Once you’ve located your image file, double click. It should appear on your slide. Adjust the image by dragging the handles as needed.
3. Add Animation of Ball Bouncing
Next, we need to add animation to the bouncing ball image. Start by clicking on your image to select it.
Next, click on the Animations tab. Then, click on the Bounce effect in the Entrance Effects menu.
To make your ball bouncier, you can use the Path Animation feature. To do so, click on the Path Animation button in the toolbar. In the Path Animation menu, click on the Bounce option.
How to Turn Bullet Points into Bouncing Balls
If you want to add some fun to your bullet points, you can turn them into PowerPoint bouncing ball animations. Here’s how:
1. Choose the Slide
Choose which you’ll have bullet points on. In this tutorial, we’ll use slide six of the Minimal PowerPoint template from Envato Elements. This slide was chosen because it already has bullet points.
But these bullet points aren’t circles. So, let’s delete them. To delete them put your cursor in front of the first word of the sentence in between the bullet point and the start of the sentence. Next, press Delete on your keyboard.
2. Add New Bullet Points
To add round bullet points, first highlight all of your text. Then, click on the Home tab above the toolbar. Next in the toolbar, click on the Bullets button. This adds bullet points to your text.
3. Add Animation
Unfortunately, you can’t just animate a bullet point. You've got to animate the bullet point and text together.
So, to animate your bullet point, start by highlighting the text and bullet point. Next, click on the Animations tab. Then click on the Bounce animation in the Entrance Animation menu.
