Want to know how to upload a font to Canva? Well, you are in the right place.
Today we'll show you how to upload fonts to Canva quickly and easily using two different methods.
Upload Fonts to Canva: Method 1
Canva Pro offers loads of premium fonts built into the platform, but you can also upload your own fonts that you’ve purchased elsewhere.
Step 1
Log in to your account at Canva. You will need a Canva Pro account to be able to upload your own fonts. Once you have logged into your account, go to the column on the left of the screen and click Brand.
This will take you to a new page. Once there, go to Brand Kit and scroll down until you see Upload a font.
This will take you to the page where you've saved your font. For this example, I'm using a font called Breymont that I downloaded from Envato Elements.
Envato Elements offers thousands of premium digital assets like fonts, logos, mockups, photos, and much more. And for one low monthly fee, you can download as many of these digital assets as you like, as often as you like.
Another advantage of Elements is that all the items you buy on Envato Elements have the same simple license terms. So when you buy a font, you get broad commercial rights so that you can use it with confidence on work or personal projects.
Step 2
Go to wherever you've saved the font on your computer, select it, and click upload. You can upload OTF, TTF, and WOFF files to Canva, and you can only upload one at a time.
Before you can upload the font, you must confirm that you have the right to use the font for your intended purpose. This refers to the licensing issue we mentioned in Step 1. And of course, if you bought your font from Envato, you can click Yes without fear that you are violating the terms of use for the font.
Once the font is uploaded, you will see your newly uploaded font under Uploaded fonts, and you can now use it in any of your projects on Canva.
Upload Fonts to Canva: Method 2
If you're already working on a project in Canva and want to add a font, click the font dropdown at the top left of the page, and at the very bottom you will see an option to Upload a font.
Navigate to wherever you've saved the font on your computer, select the font you want to upload, and click Upload. This time, I will upload Breymont Light.
Confirm that you have the right to use the font as before. Once it is uploaded to Canva, you will see it in the column on the left of the screen under Uploaded Fonts. In my example, you can see the font I just uploaded, Breymont Light, and the one I uploaded in the first method, Breymont Bold.
Now you can click on your uploaded font to select it and use it in your project.
