Today we will be looking at how to make Instagram story templates! I'll guide you through creating a whole set of matching templates that can then be changed and reused for future promotions by just changing out the fonts and colors.
Templates for Instagram stories are ideal for creating a cohesive look that matches your brand and fits in with your page's aesthetic. That's why we will be focusing on creating a whole set of simple, reusable designs, as opposed to just one complex Instagram story cover template.

Create a document that is 1080 px by 1920 px.
Step 2
Place and center your model or item onto the canvas.
Step 3
Using the Rectangle Tool, create a rectangle going across the bottom third of the canvas. The color doesn't matter!
Step 4
Add a Gradient Overlay layer effect to the text going from red #ff0300
to orange #ff9000
.
Step 5
Again using the Rectangle Tool, create a thicker white rectangle going across the top-third of the canvas.
Step 6

color.
Place it towards the top middle of the larger white rectangle.
In the Character panel, add a Spacing of 300.
Step 7
Finish the slogan using the same font but in bold, larger letters, with no spacing.
Step 8
In the same font as "The Price Hunt", type out a second slogan above the lower rectangle, making sure to leave room for the discount information.
Change it to white, and add a Spacing of 600.
Step 9
Using the font Montserrat set to Bold, type out your discount percentage or other sale information.
Place it directly above the gradient rectangle.
Step 10

Step 6
Using the Maxwell Sans Small Caps Book font, type out the description of your items or sale, such as "sportswear", in very large text.
Step 7
Using the Move Tool, flip the text 90 Degrees Counter-Clockwise, placing it on the right side of the canvas.
