What You'll Need
To recreate the design above, you will need the following resources:
1. How to Start Creating a T-Shirt Label Template
First, create a new file. To create a new file, go to File > New and set the Width and Height to 1.18 in, and Resolution to 300 px/in.
2. How to Create Guidelines for a T-Shirt Tag Template
In this section, we are going to create guidelines for our Photoshop flyer template. Press Control-R on your keyboard to show the Rulers. Then, using the Move Tool (V), click and drag from the ruler to the canvas to create a new guide. Create four guides and position each one 0.08 in away from the canvas.
3. How to Create the Background
Step 1
In this section, we're going to create the background. Go to File > Place Embedded, select the first background from the link, and click Place. Then, set the Width and Height of the background to 8.74%, position it as shown below, and name this layer Wavy Lines.
Step 2
Now Double-click on this layer thumbnail to edit the contents of the smart object, and in the newly opened file window, press Control-Shift-U to desaturate the Background layer. Then, go to Image > Auto Tone and Image > Auto Contrast to make auto-corrections to the layer tone and contrast. After that, press Control-S to save the changes and Control-W to close this file window.
Step 3
Choose the Rectangular Marquee Tool (M), make a selection with a Width of 89 px and Height of 354 px, and position it as shown below:
Step 4
Now go to Layer > Layer Mask > Reveal Selection to add a layer mask that reveals the selected area of the layer.
4. How to Create the T-Shirt Design Label Content
Step 1
In this section, we are going to create the shirt label content. Choose the Rectangle Tool (U), click anywhere inside the canvas to create a new rectangle shape layer, and set the Width to 89 px and Height to 111 px. Then, set the Fill Solid Color to #000000
and Stroke Solid Color to No Color. After that, position this layer with the coordinates X: 44.5 px and Y: 298.5 px and name it Size Background.
Step 2
Now choose the Horizontal Type Tool (T), and set the font to Roboto Slab, font style to Black, size to 45 px, alignment to Center, and color to #ffffff
. Then, in the Character panel, set the Tracking to 100 px. After that, click anywhere inside the canvas, and type the text below.
Step 3
Press Control-T to open up the transform options. Set the Angle of the layer to -90° and position the layer with the coordinates X: 47.79 px and Y: 295.92 px.
Step 4
Now choose the Horizontal Type Tool (T), and set the font to Roboto Slab, font style to Black, size to 45 px, alignment to Center, and color to #000000
. Then, in the Character panel, check the All Caps option, and set the Tracking to 100 px. After that, click anywhere inside the canvas, type the text below, and position this layer with the coordinates X: 223.63 px and Y: 42.76 px.
Step 5
Select the XL layer, choose the Horizontal Type Tool (T), and set the font to Open Sans, font style to Regular, size to 12 px, alignment to Center, and color to #000000
. Then, in the Character panel, set the Leading to 16 px. After that, click and drag anywhere inside the canvas to create a text box, type the text below, and position this layer with the coordinates X: 221.5 px and Y: 242.37 px.
Step 6
Now select the XL layer, choose the Rectangle Tool (U), click anywhere inside the canvas to create a new rectangle shape layer, and set the Width to 217 px and Height to 1 px. Then, set the Fill Solid Color to No Color, Stroke Solid Color to #bfbfbf
, and other settings as shown below. After that, position this layer with the coordinates X: 221.5 px and Y: 136.5 px and name it Dashed_Line_1 .
Step 7
Press Control-J on your keyboard to duplicate this layer and drag it just below the Dashed_Line_1 layer in the Layers panel. Then, position this layer with the coordinates X: 221.5 px and Y: 214.5 px and name it Dashed_Line_2 .
Step 8
Now choose the Horizontal Type Tool (T), and set the font to Open Sans, font style to SemiBold, size to 12 px, alignment to Center, and color to #000000
. Then, in the Character panel, check the All Caps option, and set the Leading to 19 px and Tracking to 100. After that, click anywhere inside the canvas, type the text below, and position this layer with the coordinates X: 222.1 px and Y: 176.55 px.
Step 9
Select the XL layer, choose the Horizontal Type Tool (T), and set the font to Roboto Slab, font style to ExtraBold, size to 15 px, alignment to Center, and color to #000000
. Then, in the Character panel, check the All Caps option, and set the Tracking to 200. After that, click anywhere inside the canvas, type the text below, and position this layer with the coordinates X: 222.5 px and Y: 261.62 px.
Step 10
Now select the XL layer, choose the Horizontal Type Tool (T), and set the font to Open Sans, font style to Regular, size to 10 px, alignment to Center, and color to #000000
. Then, in the Character panel, check the All Caps option, and set the Tracking to 100. After that, click anywhere inside the canvas, type the text below, and position this layer with the coordinates X: 221.5 px and Y: 277.07 px.
Step 11
Select the XL layer, choose the Horizontal Type Tool (T), and set the font to Open Sans, font style to SemiBold, size to 10 px, alignment to Center, and color to #000000
. Then, in the Character panel, check the All Caps option, and set the Tracking to 200. After that, click anywhere inside the canvas, type the text below, and position this layer with the coordinates X: 223.5 px and Y: 327.13 px.
