Step 2
Select the indicated vertices and delete (X).

Step 3
Unhide (Alt-H) the legs and select the two edges as shown in the following image.

Step 4
Press space bar and search for Bridge Edge Loops.

Step 5
Hide (H) the tail.

Step 6
Select the edge and delete (X).

Step 7
Unhide (Alt-H) the tail and this time hide (H) the body. Take note which edges would be intersecting between the body and the tail.

Step 8
Select and delete (X) the indicated edges.

Step 9
Select the two edges and bring up the search bar and look for Bridge Edge Loops.

Step 10
Bring up the Vertex Context Menu and select Smooth Vertices.

Step 11
Tab into Object mode. We've finished merging the limbs. The model should look as follows.

2. Adding Details to Face
Step 1
Add a new cube (Shift-A).

Step 2
Subdivide (W) it and set number of cuts to 3 and smoothness to 1.

Step 3
Tab into object mode and bring up the Object Context Menu (W) and select Shade Smooth.

Step 4
Scale it to be as large as the reference.

Step 5
Duplicate (Shift-D) and place it as follows.

Step 6
Select these vertices and scale (S) it in the Z-axis (Z).

Step 7
Select these vertices and scale (S) it in the Y-axis (Y).

Step 8
Add a new cube (Shift-A).

Step 9
Subdivide (W) it.

Step 10
Set Number of cuts to 3 and smoothness to 1.

Step 11
Go to the Modifiers Tab and add a Mirror modifier.

Step 12
Add Subdivision Surface modifier.

Step 13
Tab into Object mode and bring up the Object Context Menu (W) and select Shade Smooth.

Step 14
Tab into Edit mode and scale (S) it in the Z-axis (Z).

Step 15
Scale (S) it accordingly.

Step 16
Scale (S) it in the Y-axis (Y).

Step 17
Adjust the shape as per the reference image.

Step 18
Combine them all into one object (Alt-J).

Step 19
Place and adjust the vertices so that the eye is placed in the eye socket as shown in the following image.

Step 20
Scale and adjust accordingly.

Step 21
Select the indicated edges and snap (Shift-S) and select Cursor to Selected.

Step 22
Tab into Object mode and add (Shift-A) a new Circle.

Step 23
Set the Vertices count to 16.

Step 24
Select the edges and make face (F).

Step 25
Scale (S) it down.

Step 26
Switch to side view and rotate (R) it to -90 degrees.

Step 27
Adjust the vertices to be in front of the eyeball.

Step 28
In top view, 7 on the number pad, duplicate (Shift-D) the vertices and move it onto the left eye.

Step 29
Tab into Object mode. In the modifiers tab, apply the Mirror modifier.

Step 30
Select the head and apply Mirror modifier.

Step 31
