Making a resume in Photoshop isn't difficult once you know what steps you need to follow. All you've got to do is follow the steps outlined below.
For the purposes of this tutorial, I’ll be using the Resume CV Template 21. It's a CV and resume template that can be used for any type of job application.
Let's get started:
1. Add Your Information
The first step in customizing your resume is to add your own information. To do this, all you've got to do is open the resume template in Photoshop and click on any text. Then, select all of it with CTRL+A. Delete the selected text and type in your own information.
2. Customize Fonts
Add more personality to your resume by using a font that you like. This will help you stand out from others who might be using the same template. Simply select the text you want to edit. Then choose a font you like from the drop-down menu at the top.
3. Adjust Colors
Once you’ve replaced the dummy information and you’ve chosen a font you like, consider changing the colors that the resume template uses by default. In this example, I want to change the color of the top section, which is in the folder with the same name in the Layers panel. Click on the folder to expand it and reveal the exact layer you need to select. Then, double-click the color palette and choose your brand color or another color you like.

The next step is to add your own photo. The easiest way to add your photo is to locate it on your computer and then drag it and drop it over the layer that's got the photo placeholder. Then, resize the image by dragging the corners and drag it over the shape. Lastly, right-click on the layer with your photo and select Create clipping mask.
5. Export the Finished Design
The last step is to export the finished design. Click on File > Save as and choose Photoshop PDF.
